Next, extend one tow bar arm and secure it to the towed vehicle's base plate with a pin and locking clip.
Repeat the procedure with the second arm, extending the tow bar arm until the tow bar bracket can be easily placed into the receiving bracket of the car's base plate.
When adjusting the arms for a proper fit, press down on the latch release to extend or retract the arms.
Once the brackets are lined up properly, secure with a pin.
Be sure to lock the pin in place with a locking clip.
